Commercial Cleaner Job Description

A commercial cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and general upkeep of various commercial properties such as offices, hospitals, schools, and public spaces[2].

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using cleaning equipment such as automatic floor polishers, carpet cleaners, and various cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with work health and safety protocols[4][5].

Additional Tasks:

  • Deep cleaning as required, such as shampooing carpets, cleaning behind appliances, or sterilizing facilities in high-sensitivity environments like healthcare or food production[1][4][5].
  • Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and requesting replenishments as necessary[3].
  • Wearing personal protective equipment and adhering to safety standards[4][5].

Job Requirements:

  • Prior cleaning experience is strongly preferred[3].
