Server Assistant Job Description

A server assistant supports servers and the overall dining experience by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food and beverage service[1].

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests, escorting them to their tables and providing menus[2].
  • Assist in taking and delivering food and beverage orders; serve meals, drinks, and coffee[1].

  • Remove trash, sanitize menus, and perform end-of-day clean-up duties[2].
  • Ensure server stations are adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies[2].
  • Respond to patrons’ requests and inform management of any complaints[2].
  • Arrange tables and chairs for larger groups as needed[2].

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED[2].
  • Food handler’s license[2].
  • Proven experience in the restaurant industry[2].
